What time does the tour start and end? Your Billytea Driver will pickup from the Southside Accommodation 7.15am, Cairns CBD is 7.30am. Please note Northern Beaches 7.40am and Port Douglas 6.50am clients will be picked up by International Coaches (pickup time will be advised at time of booking) and transfered to the Billytea Tour Coach at Canopys Edge bus stop approx 8.15am . Clients will be returned to Northern Beaches and Port Douglas after your day tour by International Coaches departing from Canopys Edge Bus Stop at approx 5.00 – 5.30pm. Please note all times are approximate. If you run late and not there for your pickup time allocated, you may miss your tour for the day and therefore will be charged 100% cancellation fee .Note there is an additional transfer charge from Port Douglas of $87.00pp to be paid on board the coach on day of travel.
How many people will be in the vehicle? Our vehicles take 16/20 passengers only. Small personalised numbers.Booster seats are provided for young children. Notify ages at time of booking.During busy period we may have more than one vehicle in all areas we travel.
Can we do a private charter? Private charters are available with personalised itineraries and price on application.
What do I need to take.? Please take Hat, Sunscreen, Camera, extra batteries & memory cards Water bottle, extra cash for cold drinks, souvenirs or an ice-cream, raincoat or umbrella in our rainny season. Good attitude !!!
What do I wear? Comfortable clothes as you are in the tropics, in winter you may wish to take a light coat. Flat comfortable shoes or sandals. Preferable no thongs, shoes must have grip and ladies no high heels as there is uneven ground at times.
What does Billy Tea provide? We provide Morning coffee or tea plus chocolates, experienced accredited guides, delicious Lunch and tasting of local Beer and Wine, Tropical Exotic Fruits and local cheese tasting. Itineraries may be changed or run in reverse at the discretion of Billy Tea Safaris, some parts of the tour may not be carried out as per brochure at certain times of year due to weather and road conditions, decision made on the day by our guides and it is final.
What if I have dietary requirements? All dietary requirements must be notified at time of reservation, or 48 hours notice we can cater for vegetarians and most other requirements. Your lunch order will be taken at Coffee Works by your Tour Guide prior to your arrival at the lunch destination.
Where do we go?
Is the tour wheelchair / disabled friendly? We can only take passengers that are able to get themselves up the steps in the vehicle or have a carer to help them. They must be able to take walking steps by themselves or with the aid of their own carer. Their wheelchairs must be small compact collapsible chairs as space is limited and can only go in our storage comparments, not inside the vehicles and this must be checked at time of reservation. This also must be advised 48 hours prior to the tour. The vehicles aren’t designed for disabled passengers, due to the remoteness and ruggedness of the areas visited. Billy Tea Staff are unable to assist with any lifting or assistance due to insurance liability and not authorised carer.
Can I take my luggage on the tour? Our vehicles cannot carry luggage, a small backpack or hand-baggage is permitted . No fold up prams our allowed for children
Is Wifi available ? We dont provide wifi service and need to advise that mobile reception is not always reachable in certain areas of the tablelands.
